Overview

FUSE Coworking/Nelnet are seeking motivated individuals that will work closely with management at FUSE and Nelnet to continue enhancing the entrepreneurial culture and experience in the their respective spaces. We are in need of a capable intern who can provide customer service and be the first person visitors and members meet when entering the space(s), as well as assistance with daily tasks, manage the needs of the community(s), and be able to help with events and activities. The idea of these workspaces is to foster an environment that is beneficial to all participants creating a collaborative communites. Our hope is that interns will gain experience within areas of community relations, membership operations, marketing, communications, event planning, program development, as well as working with multiple business types in our space(s).

 

Regular duties may include:

  • Reception and initial touch-point for members/community.
  • Preparing the space for events, activities, and the overall community(s)
  • Keeping the office clean, organized, and ready for all
  • Managing the inventory and purchasing of needed materials
  • Helping when needed with other programs and ideating new ways to benefit the overall entrepreneurial community(s)

                           

The interns may also have the ability to work closely with some businesses (or business units) within FUSE/Nelnet and may gain extra experience in a variety of areas.

 

Requirements:

— Currently in post-secondary education working toward a degree in business, marketing, communications, hospitality, social sciences, or liberal arts.

— Availability at least 2-3 days per week, up to 10-15hrs during 7:30a-6p M-F

Responsibilities

Managing the inventory and purchasing of needed materials

  • Preparing the space for all events, activities, and the everyday co-working community
  • Keeping the office clean, organized, and ready for all FUSE members
  • Solving the everyday problems that may arise and coming up with a replicable process to mitigate recurrence of issue
  • Helping when needed with other FUSE programs and ideating new ways to benefit

FUSE members, sponsors, and overall local entrepreneurial community

The interns may also have the ability to work closely with some businesses working within

FUSE and may gain extra experience in a variety of areas.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Currently in post-secondary education working toward a degree in business, marketing,

communications, hospitality, social sciences, or liberal arts

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

 

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

Availability at least 2-3 days per week, up to 10 - 15 hrs, 7:30am-6pm Monday - Friday

 

  • FUSE interns have the opportunity to receive credit hours for their time each semester, along with referrals and references
