Overview

Order Specialist will own the staging process. This role requires great attention to detail, moving orders through the process and ensuring on-time delivery. The role of the order specialist is to create the order, prioritize and sort pack lists to coincide with the order queue, and build the pick queue. A team of 2-3 individuals will fill this position, and report to the Floor Supervisor. All team members will start with our core 8:00am-5:00pm, but some shifts will move to an 11am-8pm format in mid-July depending on order demand and availability.

 

This is a Nelnet temporary position.

Responsibilities

    • Overseeing the order queue
    • Sorting pack lists based on priority (w/ order barcode ID)
    • Making boxes
    • Applying pack list with all inserts to individual orders
    • Scanning orders into the pick system
    • Keeping up the ˜pick queue'
    • Helping fill bulk orders as needed
    • Helping stock inventory as needed

Our fulfillment season starts June 14th with 2 days of training and runs through Aug 31st. Fulfillment will begin June 18th filling our queue of pre-orders from May/early June so our fulfillment team is operating at full capacity for the entire summer.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years job experience preferred.

 

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  1. Results oriented, customer service driven individual who can hit the ground running and work at a fast pace.
  2. VERY high attention to detail and accuracy are a must. Great organizational skills, dexterity, and sense of urgency.
  3. Needs to be able to meet the physical demands of a warehouse environment, including continual standing and movement during the fulfillment process, with light lifting and occasional heavy lifting of boxes.
  4. Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in team-based project teams to achieve common goals.
  5. Outside-the-box thinker, passionate about problem-solving, and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit.
  6. Ability to maintain the highest level of accountability and integrity and to share information with resources appropriately.
  7. High standards for productivity with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing task and demands. Utilization of effective organization and prioritization skills to complete assignments within established time frames.
