What You Will Do

The Accounting Manager Corporate is responsible for the oversight of the central disbursement account. This position serves as the administrator on the bank accounts for Seldin Company and their managed multifamily properties. The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to the financial reporting of Seldin Company. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities. This position supervises the Corporate Accountant. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the CFO, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area
  • Knowledge and principles of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, organization skills, attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work independently and exercise judgment are essential

Education, Licenses, or Certificates Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
