Job Title: Billing Specialist/Receptionist  

Required: Bachelor’s Level Education

    A minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative or human services work is recommended.

    Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (flexible scheduling)

   Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

   Ability to operate Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

   Ability to multi-task, work independently, be detailed oriented, and have strong organizational skills.

   Ability to provide clerical support to all staff members.

  Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all clients.

  Ability to maintain and update billing manual as needed.

  Knowledge of basic billing procedures, records filing, and interpretation of billing paperwork.         

Job Description: This position performs responsible administrative duties including managing and submitting the billing for OMNI’s Eating Disorder Clinic.  The Billing Specialist/Receptionist will also maintain licensure, training, necessary credentialing and insurance paneling that is required by the contracting agencies and insurance companies.  Will check mental health care benefits and obtain client copays before each visit. This position is also responsible for typing memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as necessary.  This will include collecting and typing monthly data reports and submitting to the program Director, Supervisor, and/or Billing Manager.  Responsible for completing and managing the billing for the Eating Disorder Clinic, and ensuring that accurate and timely billing is sent to the appropriate contracting agencies and insurance companies.  The Billing Specialist/Receptionist will be responsible for multi-line phones, collecting/distributing mail and messages, filing, and will perform other duties as assigned.
