Residential Services Supervisor

Supervisor will be responsible for a caseload of developmentally delayed individuals that live in group homes as well as consumers that live on their own and with family.  This will consist of supervising, evaluating, and coordinating activities of direct care staff for consumers while maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment. Additionally, the supervisor will assist consumers and Residential Team with participation in life enrichment activities for the individuals that we serve,  maintaining compliance with licensing standards, maintain complete/accurate documentation and reports for individuals on their caseload.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Undergraduate degree with a major or minor of study from an accredited college or university or two years experience in a related area
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position with no more than reasonable accommodation as determined by Board of Directors
  • No convictions for abuse, molestation, theft, burglary, robbery, assault, rape and other crimes against another person or property judged to be job-related
  • No founded reports of abuse of a dependent person
  • A satisfactory driving record (no more than three moving violations in the most recent thirty-six month period) and a valid driver’s license appropriate for vehicle type being required to operate and maintain
  • Access to reliable personal transportation for job performance as may be occasionally required and having that personal transportation insured for liability, medical, and uninsured and underinsured motorists; proof of insurance must be submitted and maintained
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Medication Manager/Aide Certification (can be earned ASAP after employment)
  • Not actively using illegal substances


Essential functions:

  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment                                                            
  • Maintain compliance with licensing standards
  • Supervise, evaluate, and coordinate activities of subordinates                                   
  • Assist consumers with participation in life enrichment activities
  • Maintain complete and accurate charting
  • Do an initial assessment for each consumer                                                              
  • Do a budget for each consumer’s services
  • Advise and assist consumers in planning nutritious meals and purchasing and preparing foods
  • Explain fundamental hygiene principles
  • Evaluate needs of individuals served and plans for continuing services
  • Prepare and maintain records of assistance rendered                                                 
  • Provide direct service hours to consumers                                                                 
  • Give bedside care to incapacitated individuals
  • Assist consumers with dressing, undressing, and toilet activities as may be necessary
  • Assign housekeeping duties according to consumer's capabilities                                          
  • Obtain information for consumers for personal and business purposes
  • Drive motor vehicle to transport consumers to specified locations
  • Attend training events as required                                                                              
  • Attend Individual Program Plan (IPP) and/or Individual Consumer Program (ICP) and/or Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings as required


Additional functions:

Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time.     Hours are subject to change.

Hearing: Must be able to consistently hear well enough to communicate with co-workers

Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk frequently

Climbing/Stoop/Kneeling: Must be able to climb, stoop, and kneel frequently

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift, pull, and push frequently

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to finger, grasp, and feel frequently

Must be able to write, type, and use phone system.

Frequently lift floor to waist 10 lbs to 50 lbs 1x each

Frequently lift waist to shoulder 10lbs to 50 lbs 1x each

Push/Pull 50 lbs
