Our in-home caregivers assist clients to achieve goals in life, gain skills in interpersonal relationships, daily living, and live as independently as possible. At every level, the in-home caregiver team spends their days in direct contact with consumers who live in apartments, group homes or with their families. Each of our consumers has a disability, but wants to be as independent as possible. We are committed to helping them achieve that goal.

 The purpose of VODEC is to support and advocate for persons with disabilities so those persons have opportunities to develop to their fullest potential, to interact with society, to experience a sense of belonging and to contribute something of themselves at their own levels of ability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A satisfactory driving record (no more than three moving violations in the most recent thirty-six month period)
  • Must have access to reliable personal transportation for job performance; personal transportation must be insured for liability, medical, and uninsured and underinsured motorists; proof of insurance must be submitted and maintained.
