Inceptia, a division of National Student Loan Program (NSLP), is a nonprofit organization providing premier expertise in higher education access, student loan repayment, analytics, default prevention, financial education and verification. Our mission is to support schools as they arm students with the knowledge needed to become financially responsible citizens. Annually, Inceptia helps more than 278,000 students borrow wisely, resolve their delinquency issues and successfully repay their student loan obligations. Inceptia educates students on how to pay for college, guides borrowers through loan repayment counseling, and provides default prevention strategies and services to schools.

We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to be an integral part of our team. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for a variety of functions  related to content and campaign management of proposals, email campaigns, social media, presentation development and conferences , .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops content for marketing materials including Requests for Proposal (RFP), brochures, presentations, research briefs, webinars and emails.
  • Manages RFP content keeping it up-to-date with product enhancements and messaging.
  • Coordinates the production of RFPs, ensuring appropriateness and timeliness of response.
  • Executes the delivery of email marketing campaigns, newsletters and webinar invitations.
  • Manages Salesforce administrator duties including monitoring and maintaining client records and associated opportunities, managing user accounts, and providing support to internal Salesforce users.  
  • Transforms customer data into meaningful reports and resources for business development, marketing and client services. Provides event planning support and coordination for tradeshows, webinars and customer events.
  • Acts as account representative for the Business Development team to provide ongoing marketing program communication, coordination of efforts during the course of a project and to meet any other miscellaneous needs.
  • Monitors project schedules and tracks progress projects to assure deadlines are met.
  • Manages inventory of collateral and fulfillment of collateral requests.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud and Salesforce a bonus.
  • Competent at all Microsoft Office software.
    • Strong Power Point and Excel experience a huge plus.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Sprout, Twitter, LinkedIn and WordPress or other web content management systems a plus.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent project management and follow-through skills.
  • Team-oriented with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and the ability to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to have fun and learn.

  • An undergraduate degree is preferred in marketing, communications, or relevant field.
  • The ideal candidate will be a curious, self-directed and skilled team member with a minimum of one year of marketing experience; client experience is also preferred.
