SUMMARY??
The objective of the Business Development Specialist is to strategically grow the business for the assigned market(s) and respective sub-segments for the Sales and Marketing Organization (SMO) in the Americas. The Business Development Specialist will achieve his/her objectives by assisting the Market Development Manager(s) implementing global marketing strategies, as defined by the SMO and the applicable Market Unit (MU), and adapting it to fit the specific needs of the domestic marketplace. The Business Development Specialist function shall act in support to the Market Development Manager(s) as a critical link between SMO Americas and the Global MU. The Business Development Specialist must assist the Market Development Manager(s) to ensure the effective management and control of strategic sales and marketing activities, key customer management and project management. As a key element of SMO Americas, the Business Development?Specialist?will help the Market Development Manager(s) interact and provide direction and support to SMO USA, SMO Canada, SMO Mexico, SMO Brazil, and Latin America Sales Group.
The Business Development?Specialist?will work together with the Market Development Manager(s) to strategically monitor and evaluate their respective market and sub-segments, develop strong relationships with key customers, and expand the market share through effective sales and marketing management. The Business Development?Specialist?will display a unique skillset to attract interest and increase sales for Conductix-Wampfler products and services from new or existing customers through a variety of sales channels. The Business Development?Specialist?will display strong presentation and high-level negotiation skills, key relationship management skills and strong technical background to understand the complexities of a technical business environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
AS or BS technical degree preferred. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TYPING AND OFFICE SOFTWARE SKILLS
Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute with an accuracy of at least 90%.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Effective fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
