Senior Accountant + Flexible + Lincoln

Our client, a family-owned local Real Estate Management Company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their small team.  The ideal candidate will be a critical thinking, analytical individual to oversee all financial and accounting duties. This self-motivated person will be responsible for supporting operations, and owners, from a financial reporting perspective.  Our client fosters a casual, laid-back office with flexibility.  They excel in providing hands-on mentoring to enable growth and autonomy in the role.  Here’s what you will do as the Accounting Manager:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handles all cash management duties
• Prepares monthly financials for month end close
• Bank reconciliations and preparation of cash snapshot
• Prepare all monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax documents and ensure payments are made on time
• Assist with CAM reconciliation and billing
• Fixed asset management
• Loan payments and financial compliance monitoring
• Real estate property budgeting and income and expense analysis
• Handle insurance payments and property documentation
• Create effective and efficient accounting processes for the company
• Assist with all 1099-NEC organization and filing
• Analyze vendor relationships and costs
• Additional training and duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
• 3-5 year’s previous experience in a similar role
• Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles
• Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
• Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
