Senior Accountant + Flexible + Downtown Omaha

Our client, a family-owned engineering firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in their downtown Omaha office.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an accounting role and the ability to complete tasks with accuracy and proficiency.  If you’re looking to join a company that offers generous benefits, flexibility and an atmosphere that allows you to make a difference, then this is the role for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle bank deposits and records daily receipts
• Assist with monthly closing processes
• Audit insurance plans and reconcile provider bills
• Additional duties/special projects as needed
• Contributes professionally to meet goals and corporate objectives
• Train other staff on accounting processes when needed
• Assist with payroll and billing on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
• Five years’ experience in an Accounting role
• Strong data entry abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows software
• Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment
• Exceptional organization skills with remarkable attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage time and work independently
