Accountant + Fun Culture + Omaha

We are seeking an Accountant for a client of ours in the tech industry. This position will encompass all aspects of accounting and will include identifying and eliminating inefficiencies in the accounting process.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for AP processes, including vendor payables
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll
• Report payroll taxes
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Assist with month-end close processes
• Assist with projections and budgeting
• Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes
• Stay current with developments in the accounting and finance world

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree preferred, not required
• 2-3 years’ experience in an Accounting role
• Proactive mindset and ‘go-getter’ attitude
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Self-starter willing to take initiative
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to streamline processes
• Ability to work occasional night/weekend events
