VP of Finance + Up to 150k + Columbus, NE

Our client is a Nebraska-owned and operated company specializing in agricultural services.  They are looking for a strategic-minded individual to join their team as the Vice President of Finance.  This individual will be responsible for coordinating all financial planning, analysis, and reporting.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who quickly grasps the financials of the company and is eager to improve the financial processes of the company. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Provide quality support for internal and external financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze budgets
• Monitor general ledger and accounting operations
• Maintain and improve planning tools and processes including implementing a budgeting/forecasting system
• Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures guaranteeing that control measures are in place and practiced

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Preferred 5-7 years’ previous experience in a similar role
• Solid critical and analytical Skills
• Strong attention to detail, resourceful, diligent with the ability to think outside the box
• High-level computation skills
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Effective and professional oral and written communication
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
