Assistant Controller + West Omaha Location + Six Figure W-2

Our client is seeking out an Assistant Controller to make an impact while playing a key role in this small, but rapidly growing, and profitable company located in West Omaha.  If you have public accounting experience, and the desire to be part of a company planning to double in the next 3 years, we have the position for you!   

General Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Oversee and review work prepared by Accounting Managers (2)
  • Responsible for external financial reporting
  • Act as the point person for external auditors, consultants and outsourced internal auditors 
  • Manage monthly financial projection analysis and cash monitoring
  • Evaluate internal controls, policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with all reporting and tax filing requirements
  • Coordinate all financial analysis while demonstrating a firm grasp of the financial aspects of key issues that impact the company
  • Handle special projects and financial reporting to management

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;  Master’s degree is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience needed, with public accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including excellent Excel skills
  • Ability to lead & build relationships within a team
