A 401(k) Relationship / Account Manager works closely with our 401(k) Lead Adviser as the primary contact between the Record Keepers, Third-Party Administrators, banks, sponsor companies, clients and Lutz Financial internal departments.  This individual act as primary point of contact for retirement plan onboarding and daily processing; he or she will provide problem resolutions to inquiries as they arise. We are seeking an experienced retirement plan account manager whose day to day functions will include answering questions received via phone and email from provider clients, provides timely and accurate information and issue resolution, conducts research, and facilitates the processing of all requests.  Strong knowledge of retirement plans and features is critical.  This individual will need to effectively communicate the business proposition, features, and requirements of plans, brokerage services, and assist participants in their individual retirement plan client experience.



  • Input, maintain and update client account data
  • Administers RPAG access and updates for Retirement plan provider clients
  • On-going management and support of Plan Administrators and Sponsors
  • Lead and facilitate on-boarding of new clients
  • Generate and execute paperwork for plan sponsors, third-party administrators, record keepers, clients, advisers, and custodians
  • Initiate, coordinate and oversee the transfer of client/plan assets
  • Gather data and generate ad hoc reports as requested by advisers
  • Assistance with plan investment monitoring process
  • Ability to facilitate participant and employee education and enrollment meetings
  • Facilitate client annual review meetings.
  • Ability and willingness to generate new prospects and clients



  • Bachelor’s degree/undergraduate degree in business, economics, or finance
  • 3+ years of prior financial services industry experience with an emphasis on 401(k) plan design concepts
  • Prior experience working with plan sponsors and participants
  • Understanding of retirement plan fiduciary best practices
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with high attention to detail; proactive work ethic
  • Display initiative and willingness to learn quickly and adaptively
  • A team-centric mentality
  • A qualified candidate will be able to efficiently navigate: RPAG, Junxure, Orion, Schwab, TD Ameritrade, all Microsoft Office programs; and easily navigate web browsers
  • CRPS preferred after 12 months

      Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS) is a credential for those who create, implement and maintain retirement         plans for businesses. Successful applicants earn the right to use the CRPS designation with their names for two years.
