First [1st] Shift Position: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm / M - F / On-Site

Job Summary:

The Pre-Weigh Puller is responsible for safely supporting the production batching element by pulling and pre-weighing chemicals and materials required for product manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pulling stock or restocking raw materials and chemicals as directed by hand or using lifts, jacks, tippers.
  • Return empty barrels to the utility workers area.
  • Keep Pre-weigh area clean and free of spills using mops, water hoses, brooms, etc.
  • Provide assistance to lab and batching departments as directed.
  • Consolidate chemicals to provide room for new chemicals or products.
  • Communicate effectively with others.
  • Maintain a good attendance record.
  • Perform work onsite.
  • Perform duties safely.
  • Assist in training employees new to the department.
  • Operate RF Gun at an advanced level.
  • Willing to train in other areas and functions as a backup to that area (e.g., Compounding).
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Perform work onsite.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • High school or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to understand and calculate intermediate math functions; adding/subtracting, multiplication/division, fractions, and percentages.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements, scales, and gauges – to include metric measures.
  • Ability to comprehend complex OSHA and safety regulations; MSDS forms; FDA regulations, and GMP compliance.
  • Ability to use simple hand tools and solve basic mechanical and physical problems.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, and other related materials handling equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via electronic devices and in person.
  • High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.
  • Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • One [1] year of High School chemistry or equivalent coursework.
  • Advanced level of math skills including analytical abilities.
  • Current Forklift certification or related training.
  • Hazardous Materials training.
  • Knowledge of RF Scanner devices (AS400 preferred).
  • One [1] year of experience within a manufacturing environment.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment - some temperature extremes, dust, noise, and wet.
  • Requires use of PPE such as safety glasses, hairnets, or gloves.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
