Silkscreen Operator - 1st shift 

6:30am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

$14.50 per hour

$1,000 NEW HIRE BONUS!!

Job Summary: 

Setting up, maintaining and operating silk screen machine to apply ink labels and graphics to bottles prior to filling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up machines by positioning screens properly, checking alignment of ink designs.
• Mix inks to proper colors and standards by following formula book and pantone color chart, weighing and measuring accurately and checking by visual reference to standard.
• Run samples and verify ink is curing properly.
• Maintain production run by placing bottles onto line, checking quality periodically and refilling inks, as needed.
• Make mechanical adjustments to machines, as needed.
• Remove finished product, stack boxes on pallets and tag.
• Log all orders and pallets by the RF gun.
• Keep area clean by cleaning screens before storing, putting away supplies and materials, checking and filing paperwork, sweeping, as needed.
• Operator levels:
  • Silkscreen Operator – In Training
  • Silkscreen Operator I – Proficient in job and has successfully completed 1 of the 5 assessments.
  • Silkscreen Operator II – Proficient in job and has successfully completed 2 of the 5 assessments.
  • Silkscreen Operator III – Proficient in job and has successfully completed 3 of the 5 assessments.
  • Silkscreen Operator IV – Proficient in job and has successfully completed 4 of the 5 assessments.
  • Silkscreen Operator V – Proficient in job and has successfully completed all 5 of the 5 assessments.

• Communicate effectively with others.

Additional Expectation: Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• High school or equivalent.
• Less than 3 months work experience in machine operations.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and machine operation skills.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to inspect work and make quality control decisions.
• Ability to read, write and speak English, competently.

Preferred Knowledge, Certifications, Skills, Abilities:

• Data entry skills and for RF gun.
• Mechanical training.
• Printing, graphics, or photographic skills.

Environmental Conditions:

• Manufacturing – some temperature extremes, dust, noise, and wet.
