    Description

    $1,000 HIRING BONUS!

    1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

    Job Summary:

    Assist with maintaining preventative maintenance and repairs to production equipment, HVAC, plumbing, boiler, chiller, compressor, and water systems as required including RO and Di water.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • Comply with all company policies, standard operating procedures, safety rules and attend company scheduled training.

    Maintain on going preventive maintenance to assigned line or equipment.

    Troubleshoot problems as they arise and devise appropriate solutions.

    • Maintenance as necessary for batching and holding tanks and associated equipment including pumps, homogenizer, dispersers.
    • Maintenance/repair on steam lines and overhead piping.

    Determine appropriate measures for avoiding future problems and engineering out hazards.

    Follow appropriate safety measures including lock-out/tag-out procedures and any others that apply.

    • Make recommendations for operational, quality and efficiency improvements.
    • Maintain all company tools and equipment in good working order.
    • Maintain company records and complete all required documentation neatly and accurately.

    Report problems, hazards, concerns operator errors and other issues to Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager as needed.

    • Maintain the maintenance shop, parts storage and all line cabinets in a clean and organized manner.
    • Communicate effectively with others.
    • Maintain a good attendance record.
    • Perform duties on site.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

    Advanced mechanical aptitude.

    3 years vocational training and/or 6 years work experience on production line equipment or related machinery.

    Intermediate comprehension of electrical systems, hydraulic operations, and pneumatic components.

    Intermediate level reading, writing and math abilities (high school level).

    Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Certifications in welding, boiler, and hydraulic systems.
    • Intermediate level computer knowledge.
    • Minimum 2 years pipe fitting experience.

    Minimum education and experience:

    High school or equivalent.

    6 years work experience or equivalent knowledge in closely related maintenance field.
