Microbiological Analyst

We have a career opportunity for a Microbiological Analyst. As a Microbiological Analyst, you will be responsible for ALI Pharmaceutical Manufacturing’s (ALI-PM) microorganism speciation program and conformance with applicable regulatory requirements.

This position will be located at 4410 S 102nd St., Omaha, NE, working with different management levels and support personnel in other office locations.

The impact you will have:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing all microbiological approvals and testing at third-party laboratories for ALI-PM and data retention.
  • You will ensure ALI?PM microbiology methods are aligned to reference standards such as USP <61> and USP <62> by performing method periodic lifecycle review in Master Control against reference.
  • You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing microbiological topics training tools.
  • You will provide training to other personnel in microbiological testing and data analysis.
  • You will perform and assist in the update of microbiological reference lists for methods and microbial species program.
  • You will engage with all departments for continuous improvements in bioburden controls for both product and environment.
  • You will perform and assist with deviations and corrective and preventive actions.
  • You will provide microbiology SME input during management review of the microbiology evaluation.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. Master’s degree in Microbiology is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a Food/Nutraceutical/Pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.
  • Experience with the analysis of manufacturing process as it relates to microbiological attributes.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and employee relation skills.
  • You will be proficient in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other basic computer skills.
