The Construction Superintendent position supervises construction projects, performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions, ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and stay within schedules and budgets, develops site logistics plans, performs daily inspections of work performed, and acts as liaison and coordinator between all project stakeholders. This position coordinates deliveries with suppliers and ensures inspections are scheduled appropriately. S/he will ensure that all quality assurance and safety standards are being met. The Superintendent maintains a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations, delivers on promises, and proactively promotes our core values. The successful candidate for this position can manage small and/or medium teams, and projects of moderate complexity.

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, push/pull, squat, crouch, and crawl. Employee must be able to enter the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet (or more) off the ground; be able to sit in the operator’s seat of equipment and safely reach all pedals, switches, levers, buttons, etc. required to safely operate the equipment, and have an adequate field of vision of all instruments, gauges, warning lights, as well as an acceptable field of vision out of the windows and/or mirrors. There will be frequent exposure to moderate, and occasionally loud, noise levels. For safety reasons, the candidate must be able to communicate effectively in this moderate to loud environment.
Work is performed on construction job sites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures and humidity. In addition, employees must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes walking on uneven surfaces and walking long distances.
