About The Role: Gatsby Glass of Miami is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Sales Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of glass products for large residential and commercial glass applications. Including but not limited to glass enclosures, glazed aluminum partitions and curtain walls, aluminum store fronts and entrances, glass railings, and fire rated glazing/assemblies. A strong background in project management and construction estimating is preferred.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of delivering accurate estimates and driving sales for our construction projects. This position is considered a sales position and is primarily responsible for turning around estimates in a timely and efficient manner while communicating efficiently and building rapport with team members and our customer base. You will use your strong communication and selling skills to present innovative solutions to prospective customers with the drive to exceed sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimation: Develops and manages the estimation team to prepare estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Ensure estimates align with project specifications and client requirements. Develop professional quotation(s) and shop drawings presenting proposals to customer(s) in a prompt fashion.
Sales and Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. Generate and follow up on leads to secure new business opportunities balancing short vs. long term deals pipeline. Log and tracks clients’ information on CRM.
Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. Monitor project costs. Identify and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals to clients, including project scope, timelines, and cost estimates. Collaborate with the take-off and estimation team to ensure proposals meet client expectations.
Project Planning and Scheduling: Together with the General Manager, develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the estimation team, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in estimating and sales activities.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in sales, project management, and/or construction estimating required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or a related field, preferred
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Construct Connect or Plan Swift, and CRM software. Strong understanding of construction site inspections, blueprint reading, and construction safety regulations. As appropriate, accurately take measurements needed for the job and use your knowledge of building codes to ensure correct materials are used, to facilitate accurate pricing and ordering.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Spanish is a plus. Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels. Ability to read, analyze and interpret, inspection and estimating forms and proposal formats.
Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients. Ability to handle client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Sales Acumen: Demonstrated sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Ability to identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.

Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended periods
