Full Time

Salary Range: $95,000.00 To 110,000.00 Annually

The Cloud Administrator reports directly to the Director of Infrastructure and Security.  

As a Cloud Administrator at Boston Mutual, you enjoy working in a highly collaborative team-based environment, conceptualizing, developing, communicating and proposing solutions that will drive our growth and lead directly to top and bottom line results. You will work with the CIO and Director of Infrastructure in both a long-term strategy and tactical capacity to help solve critical needs and mission challenges.   You will be responsible for providing a recommendation for the overall solution architecture and development and engaging business peers and subject matter experts, when required. The Cloud (O365)Administrator remains informed about industry trends, fin-tech products and innovations that will deliver process improvement and efficiencies, candidate areas for automation, and other innovative approaches to meet current and evolving business needs.

The Cloud Administrator is expected to: 

  • Analyze the current state technology environment and identify deficiencies, define the principles, guidelines, standards and solutions patterns in collaboration with other IT leadership and architecture roles, and design and direct architectural governance activities. 
  • Collaboratively develop and recommend solutions within the O365 platform to meet the business’ needs
  • Participate in cross-functional team, functional and project team efforts to evaluate technology solutions to meet the needs of the business and fit within the technology architecture vision of the organization, including vendor assessment, technology platform selection and retirement, prioritization, and integration. 
  • Lead on O365 project/rollouts from a technical standpoint.
  • Partner with teammates, business leadership and vendors as an advisor to develop and align technical road maps with organizational strategy, and objectives.
  • Develop design diagrams and corresponding documentation to set enterprise best practices for cloud adoption.
  • Lead the design and implementation of new 0365 capabilities by partnering with our Development and Data Analytics teams.
  • Support and mentor team members on cloud Infrastructure best practices.
  • Ensure cloud optimization is being followed with a focus on balancing costs with business priorities.
  • Assist in developing and executing Infrastructure hosting and migration strategies for systems both on-premise and in the cloud including the development of solution prototypes to prove out value and reduce risk.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the company, collaborating closely with both the business and technology teams to ensure alignment in implementation with the intended solution design as well as desired business outcomes.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline. 

Experience:  

  • 10+ years of supporting systems and customer with their IT needs
  • 5+ designing and supporting Microsoft Azure AD / O365 infrastructure, including OneDrive, Intune, Windows Defender
  • Have experience with managing and supporting an Intune MDM environment
  • Strong knowledge of mail flow in O365
  • 3+ year experience with Proofpoint
  • Plan for system and application migration(s) to the cloud, adhering to BML technical and business requirements
  • Understand and be able to support SharePoint for the needs of the business
      
  • Plan and develop support processes that adhere to best practices (NIST)
     
  • Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
  •  Worked with both technical and business stakeholders to define requirements, creating detailed documentation and crafting estimates and roadmaps for implementation.
  • End-to-end solution and implementation definition and documentation. 
  • Experience creating deployment strategies with accurate time estimates and risk assessments.
  • Assess emerging technologies for O365, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performance

Ability to deliver cloud-based infrastructure utilizing infrastructure: 

  • 2+ years of insurance industry experience
  • Good understanding of O365 security and configurations.
  • Solid understanding of O365 infrastructure components (Licensing, permissions, and offerings) 
  • Experience configuring O365 to support data analytics and business intelligence needs of the company
  • Demonstrated ability in project solution estimation and project definition.
  • Network configuration and systems admin experience on O365 infrastructure
  • Demonstrate an ability to design our Azure/O365 infrastructure for availability, back up, disaster recovery, etc.
  • Experience working with monitoring and alerting technologies.

Certifications/Licensures (preferred): 

  • Certifications in one of more major cloud vendor: 
  • AWS – Solutions Architect – Professional; 
  • Azure – MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure (Infrastructure Focus)

Hybrid Work Model

At our Canton location, employees will be on site Monday - Thursday starting 5/1/23.
