About Us:

At Duet (formerly ENCOR), we provide support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a focus on empowerment and independence throughout 5 counties in Eastern Nebraska. We assist in the activities of daily living, provide community engagement opportunities, job coaching and life skills training, as well as skilled nursing care as needed.

Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Coordinator, the manager is responsible for assuring quality delivery of community-based services to the people in service with us. You will oversee the operation of a 1-2 small group homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities including.

A Day in the Life:

  • Staffing – interviewing, scheduling, training and developing the front-line staff (Direct Support Professionals) at your assigned location
  • Auditing – review documentation and charting completed by DSPs and conduct reviews of billing and finances
  • Program Implementation – plan, develop, and oversee implementation of community engagement programs and ISPs for people supported
  • Advising – serve as emergency point of contact for DSPs (including 24/7 on-call)
  • Teamwork – assist with the activities of daily living as needed in your location including cooking, cleaning, assisting with toileting and bathing as needed, meal planning and grocery shopping, budgeting, laundry,
  • Build Relationships – This is an incredibly rewarding position where you build relationships with the people supported, their families, and the staff

For the safety of the people we support, we require the following:

  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Previous industry experience (community based or IDD) preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Have a valid driver’s license in good standing with fairly clean driving record
  • Have a car with insurance
  • Able to pass background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical (including 70 pound lift)
  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate with all staff and people supported
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize basic computer functions and email
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, walk, sit, stand, climb, push, carry, lift, and grasp
  • Ability to inspire a team & resolve conflict
