Rotomolding Process Engineer

We are looking to add a highly creative, collaborative, and technically competent Rotomolding Process Engineer to our team! We have been growing quickly and need someone who will evaluate our production operations and implement improvements.

We are a Rotational Molder, so a successful candidate will be able to learn this process through experience and training. This person will need the project management skills necessary to manage project timelines and the technical skills necessary to execute them. Maintenance and engineering will support the position when needed. This position is very ”hands-on” and the person filling it will work at every level of production.

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate the mold change process and innovate ways to streamline it
  • Standardize operations: Bolts, nutserts

Process Management

  • Oversee rotational molding processes
  • Help develop and deliver roto-molding training
  • Troubleshoot rotomolding problems
  •  Improve and standardize rotomolding processes
  •  Ensure instructions and tooling are accurate
  • Manage foaming area
  • Design new foaming area for optimum production
  •  Address process flow and problems as they arise
  • Work with Product Engineer to design check fixtures and the jigs to improve manufacturing process
  • Work with QualEngineersProduct Engineer to diagnose and solve quality concerns
  •  Makes final call on roto-molding reworks

First Articles

  • Oversee rotomolding first article process
  •  Develop FA set-up sheet
  •  Inspect parts during FA run
  •  Oversee the product run checklist to ensure production is prepared for the first run


An employee is expected to have or quickly develop:

  • Basic engineering skills (read drawings, use basic measurement tools)
  • Self-management skills
  • Independent troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced rotomolding skills and a proven ability to correctly diagnose rotomolding issues
  • Basic electrical skills (pull power lines during plant improvement projects)
  • Machine troubleshooting skills (ability to determine when a problem is due to machine malfunction and identifying the machine malfunction)
