Job Description
WorkFit is currently seeking a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide care in our workers compensation/outpatient therapy practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant that is looking for a unique experience working in an outpatient setting including clinical care, office and industrial ergonomic assessments in person and virtually, job demand analysis, preventive care, post offer employment screening, and a team approach to injury care working closely with our MD’s and other medical staff. Qualifications/Responsibilities:
Work closely and under the direction of the Physical Therapist to provide outstanding injury care to patients to meet their return to work needs and goals
Display proficiency in the use of standard physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures
Ability to multi-task throughout a work day to complete post offer employment screens, physical therapy patient load, occasional onsite work with employers
Detail oriented with strong communication skills
Ability to work with employers to improve safety and post offer employment screens or willingness to learn
Use of industry standard tools to conduct job demand analysis or willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and within a team
Experience with electronic health records or willingness to learn
Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and efficiently
Work collaboratively with Clinic Director, Physical Therapist, Physicians, and other members of the staff
Requires frequent walking throughout clinic; sitting at a workstation/desk; standing; occasional pushing/pulling/lifting and or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds
Job Requirements
A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program and a current NE license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Occupational health/Ergonomic experience preferred, not required
Manual Therapy experience preferred, not required
Bilingual a plus
