Vice President of Facilities Core Accountabilities:

  • Advises Communities on measurements to improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the building, forecasting upcoming needs and requirements.
  • Oversees building repair and remodel projects; procures bids and works with contractors, residents, and associates.
  • Partners with Executive Director and Community team to assure compliance with government regulations and readiness for inspections by lenders and local authorities.
  • Implements policies for the procurement of strategic vendors and contractors for all maintenance needs (landscaping, snow removal, waste, carpet, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • Develops short and long-term plans for property maintenance and rehabilitation.


Vice President of Facilities Responsibilities:

  • Works with Home Office to obtain bids for all capital expenditures and in selection of appropriate contractors/vendors.
  • Oversees the security and safety of buildings, grounds, and associates.
  • Assures the continued quality of Heritage Communities' physical assets in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Complete ongoing quality assessments of compliance with established maintenance schedules and procedures with an understanding of state regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain and improve building assets including grounds, equipment, furniture, and vehicles in collaboration with the management staff within the company and individual communities.


Vice President of Facilities will have:

  • 3-5 years knowledge and experience in building maintenance and/or construction.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in personnel management, procurement, negotiation, budgeting and customer service.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and work cooperatively with others.
  • Able to travel to assigned work sites.
