CAREERLINK PRESENTS.... The role of Assistant Customer Administration Manager:

A Careerlink partner is looking for a motivated, highly evolved (i.e. doesn’t sweat the small stuff), detail-oriented person to provide oversight and dependability to their “estimating” department.

This position is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the department's daily functions:  Estimates, Estimating plans, DOB items, Licenses, DEP, etc.
  • Assisting field supervisors throughout the day with estimate enquiries
  • Processing requests for bids/estimates for Plumbing, Plumbing Service, HVAC and Fire Protection divisions
  • Scheduling walk-throughs for estimators
  • Working with General Contractor's, Management Companies, and tenants to setup service requests to send to supervisors
  • Coordinating with Marketing team and assist with request for estimates and service contracts
  • Assisting the Service Department with scheduling and miscellaneous issues with customers
  • Completing pre-qualifications to create opportunities for estimate work for upcoming projects
  • Annually prequalifying general contractors with all updated information and documents
  • Preparing and sending letters to customers addressing backflow testing and annual backflow estimates; prepare estimates accordingly
  • Completing annual job specific NYC SCA/NYC Department of Education pre-qualifications; ensuring all forms are completed

What you need to bring to the table:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred (please note, there may be some exceptions to this rule.  If you possess a skill set similar to the one listed, apply anyway.  We’ll be sure to provide feedback one way or another)
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Must have experience managing a department of five or more employees
  • At least three years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry
  • Experience with DOB NOW Inspection System and BIS Unit (preferred)
  • Prior experience with license renewals (preferred)
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service skills with effective communication and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to display effective problem solving techniques and have the ability to work well with others while remaining calm in a high-volume and demanding environment
  • Great organizational/tracking skills and have the ability to accomplish day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision
