Responsible for implementing, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting cloud and datacenter infrastructure systems. Ability to demonstrate expertise in AWS and datacenter architecture, performance optimization, security best practices and continuous maintenance practices for critical systems. Ability to work closely with other team members, software & hardware vendors and end-users to collaboratively design technical solutions that meet the business needs. Serve as a lead technical resource regarding the implementation and optimization of complex server-based configurations by providing expertise in various infrastructure platforms that include: SAN\storage management, virtualization architecture, disaster recovery systems architecture, patch management and backup and recovery.

Sr. Systems Engineer:

  • Responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance and administration of all cloud and on-premise server and storage related devices and software. 
  • Ability to manage various hybrid datacenter technologies including but not limited to; AWS technologies, Linux and Windows servers, Cisco USC, VMWare, Tandem, enterprise Storage Area Networks, fiber switching, Active Directory.
  • Provide expertise to critical production issues and provide hands-on support when work volume dictates
  • Responsible for monitoring for related cloud and on-premise technologies
  • Accountable for the administration of the organization's backup, disaster recovery systems, and processes. 
  • Responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance and administration of the organization's security patching systems for all server infrastructure.  Regularly apply upgrades and patches for the associated server operating systems, software and hardware. Work collaboratively to assist others in the deployment of application-based patches.              
  • Responsible for implementing and remediating security vulnerabilities
  • Ability to leverage group policy management when possible
  • Responsible for complex cloud and datacenter designs, configurations and installations
  • Expert ability to automate processes with various scripting languages.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing, updating and managing the organizations SAN and backup recovery systems.
  • Actively participates or leads assigned team projects fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking attainment of team goals.
  • Actively shares knowledge and experience with other team members to develop effective bench strength 
  • Responsible for auditing and maximizing features and functions available within our license's agreement 
  • Createâ?¯executiveâ?¯reportsâ?¯on identifiedâ?¯teamâ?¯KPI's

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related area or 7+ years of related experience with current technical certifications such as AWX, MCP, VCP, RHCE, RHCA or MCSA.
  • Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of various datacenter technologies including but not limited to AWS, Linux, Windows server operating systems, clustering technologies, physical and virtual server infrastructure, enterprise SAN environment and disaster recovery solutions.  
  • Ability to automate complex tasks through developing customized PowerShell or other scripts.
  • Proven ability to serve as a project lead and facilitate open-ended technical discussions.
  • Ability to architect high availability cluster technologies such as virtualization clusters.  
  • Serve as a technical resource to resolve difficult system troubleshooting requests.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
