Description
Omaha National is seeking motivated individuals interested in pursuing an administrative role in workers compensation underwriting. The ideal candidate is detail oriented; enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment; and consistently meets internal and regulatory deadlines. No experience necessary, our in-house training will provide the tools necessary for the right candidate to succeed in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish requests for insurance coverage in our system and collect additional information as needed
- Document submission and policy files with pertinent information in a well written, clear, and easily understood manner
- Prepare and submit mandatory workers compensation policy reports to regulatory agencies in an accurate and timely manner
- Foster positive working relationships with employees in other departments, including our Sales, Client Services, Special Investigations, and Payroll teams
- Establish increased knowledge and efficacy to assume more responsibility and decision-making authority over time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Aptitude to comprehend and apply underwriting principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a broad audience of varying backgrounds
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, with aptitude to learn other software programs
