Provide exceptional customer service, while achieving established goals, for all clients and/or potential clients with product knowledge, recommendations, merchandise/displays/samples and up selling techniques. Ensure consistent sales growth and expense control through (yet not limited to) merchandising, sampling, performance management, managing operating costs and superior customer service
The showroom manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer selections, oversees and is accountable for the operation of the showroom; ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, sampling, expense control, performance management, and managing operating costs.
Manage daily showroom operations including appropriate staffing levels, excellent customer service
Showroom merchandise is current and according to sales and marketing guidelines; Reflective of current and/ongoing promotions; Appropriate stock and sample levels maintained; merchandise displayed according to company standards/practices/guidelines and visually appealing
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with designers, installers, architects, dealers, vendors, home owners, etc.
Assist with development of showroom budget; Manage and achieve sales and expense goals
Provide strong leadership to showroom staff including training, coaching and performance feedback
Proactively provide education on new products and/or product changes.
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Assist (and sell to) homeowners, designers and contractors with their selection for residential and commercial projects and make recommendations when appropriate
Develop and maintain key customer relationships
Ensure the showroom is visually and attractively merchandised to include stocking, designing and re-designing merchandise/displays with appropriate lighting, labeling products to reflect company quality standards
Maximize all sales opportunities
Minimum of three to five years work experience in customer service or retail sales with one to two years in a supervisory role.
Proven sales expertise
Experience with MS Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
