Our dispatcher handles all calls for Emergency Towing and Hauling Services in a professional and timely manner. The position answers all incoming tow related phone calls and radio calls on the 1st ring when possible.  Enters complete detail of all calls and updates calls immediately after receipt in dispatch software. Retrieve faxes for distribution when received.


  • Dispatches Towing and Emergency Road Service calls to drivers in the most efficient and timely manner by matching the proper equipment, personnel, and location.  Attempt to double up on calls when feasible. Provides information to the driver, upon request, to assist in the efficient response to disabled vehicles and customers.  This will include, but not limited to, providing directions to the pickup/drop-off locations and assistance in determining cost associated with the call.
  • Performs start and end-of-day functions for the Towing Department to include but not limited to transferring of phone lines at beginning and ending of shift, review tow tickets for completeness, and assist with the end of day collections procedure when requested.  Accepts credit card payments and posts to customer accounts.
  • Provide assistance and advice, when requested, to other office personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with computer research, development of spreadsheets, flyers, promotional materials, preparation of customer follow up letters and thank you notes as directed by the Office Manager.
  • Maintains assigned work area in as clean a manner as possible and shares in cleanup of office.
  • Is safety conscious at all times and follows all safety policies, procedures, rules, regulations and demonstrates safe practices when performing work assignments.
  • Attends and participates actively in all in-house training classes and other outside training programs that are made available. Attends and participates actively in all office meetings.
  • Processes daily wrecker logs for invoicing and payroll, submits invoices and statements to customers via mail, fax, or online; posts payments; maintains impounded vehicle history.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
