Developmental Disability Center of Nebraska is looking for compassionate and dependable people to work with us providing supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
We currently have the following shift available at the Vocational Center:
Full-time & Part-time Monday through Friday (8am – 3:00pm).
You might be asking yourself, what does a DSP at the Vocational Center do?
As a DSP with DDCN, you would assist your client in developing a weekly schedule of activities designed to advance their individual goals. You would then work with them in these skill-building activities in both the day center as well as out in the community. Closely following all behavioral and safety plans as well as collecting data throughout the day are a vital aspect of this position.
DDCN strives to support each of our individuals in gaining skills, knowledge and experience that leads to a greater independence and participation in community life. You will assist these individuals in making positive choices in meeting their personal goals.
Minimum Qualifications: At least 18 years of age or older; proof of high school diploma or equivalent; possession of a valid and unexpired driver's license and auto insurance; reliable transportation that can be utilized while working; basic fluency in written and oral English; and a willingness to learn and physical ability to complete your assigned responsibilities.
