CTO (Chief Technology Officer) responsibilities:
Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions.
Conducts research and case studies on leading-edge technology landscape and developments.
Make determinations on the probability of implementation.
Capable of quickly prioritizing the tasks at hand coupled with the ability to execute against deliverables.
Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each.
Running a world-class technology environment, ensuring critical business deliverables are met in a predictable and seamless way.
Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics.
Identify new areas of digital marketing opportunities and create plans to implement them for us and our clients.
Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
Spearhead IT projects to increase our market reach and improve our USP (Unique Selling Proposition).
Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.
Acts as a good steward resource and ensure control of IT and IO and departmental budgets are in line with business function objectives.
Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, production, and operations advisor of technologies that may improve our efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission, and values.
Developing bench strength, succession, and the next generation of leadership.
Establishing and maintaining a profile as a senior technology leader both inside and outside of the bank.
Experience taking personal accountability for key projects and issue resolution.
Acting as a senior point of escalation to troubleshoot, report and resolve issues.
Expert communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
CTO (Chief Technology Officer) skills:
Bachelor’s in finance and/or computer science engineering.
7+ years’ software engineering and IT experience.
Proven track record of success in leadership positions.
Familiarity with marketing platforms, programs, and policies.
Extensive experience with MVC frameworks.
Exceptional project management and organization skills.
BS in a related field and at least 15 years’ experience in the Information Technology arena.
10 years of management and strategic experience in this field.
MBA/MS in related field with 10 years’ experience, 7 of which must be managerial and strategic.
3-5 years managing a complex technology organization.
5+ years managing IT enterprise scale run time applications with key business deliverables and service level expectations.
