Position Objective/Description: Serving the needs of the customer and company by performing various functions within the Accounting umbrella to include data entry, scanning of documents, mailing of documents, customer service needs both internally and externally, and auditing customer rates and bills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (not all inclusive):
Accurately enter data from the customer’s bill of lading / shipping order into company’s freight bill system.
Work with employees via the telephone to gain clarity on bills that may be unclear.
Work to provide customer satisfaction by learning and understanding customer’s unique requirements in the billing process.
Respond to customer and employee questions via the telephone and email.
Completes assignments on a timely basis.
Shows high level of teamwork
Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Controller and Operations team.
Fully support all technologies and processes, introduced by company, that are intended to improve efficiencies and/or the customer experience. Support would include adherence to training programs, guidelines and processes associated with these systems.
Process customer requests for pickups, proof of delivery, bill of lading in a timely manner as needed.
Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Experience and Skills:
Excellent data entry skills
Previous experience in Invoicing preferred
Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred
Interpersonal skills, to include: customer service, interpersonal skills, effective oral/verbal communications, listening, written communication and team work.
