Momenta Pain Care is seeking a skilled, full-time Radiology Technician to join our team. The Radiology Technician will work closely with patients and shall provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging and is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians in order to achieve optimal patient care. The Radiology Technician assists the physicians with both procedures and the overall clinical practice including medical record management, organization and communication. The Radiology Technician will prepare patients and equipment for procedures along with operating and maintaining radiologic equipment.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Current State of Nebraska Radiology Technologist license
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills
  • The ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment effectively
  • Basic Life Support certification

 

Skills/Responsibilities

 

The Radiology Technician's responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, consents, positioning patients and equipment, and maintaining and operating specialized radiologic equipment.

 

  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt as patient needs arise 
  • Provide effective and accurate radiology results to assist physicians in patient care 
  • Complete patient intake process, prepare and educate patients about the imaging procedure
  • Room patients and obtain intakes
  • Review patient charts and maintain records before and after procedures

 

  • Position patients and equipment, produce clear images, monitor patients to ensure their safety during imaging
  • Ensure the proper sterilization and maintenance of radiographic equipment
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current radiology practices
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to learn and proficiently navigate through medical software
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions/directions require
  • Ability to complete all responsibilities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner
  • Must maintain confidentiality and understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) at all times

 

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: One year experience preferred, Experience with C-Arm preferred
