Electric Company of Omaha, a union commercial Electrical Contractor, located in west Omaha area, is looking for an extremely detail-oriented Administrative Secretary. The position will be starting with payroll and billing. Payroll is handled in house from the data entry to direct deposits, tax deposits, garnishments, etc. Cross training on all duties of the front office will follow.
This also includes covering the front desk and phones one day a week and additional as needed for vacations, sick days, etc. It could also include everything from daily deposits, credit card payment processing, collections, accounts payables, union reports, taxes and more. Must have extremely accurate data entry skills, detailed oriented and able to work with interruptions.
This is an hourly position 7:30-4:30 but must be flexible to cover for sick days, vacation days, maternity leave, etc. You will be working in our office with currently two full-time and one part-time Administrative Assistants, multiple Electrical Estimators and over 100 field staff. Knowledge of electrical terms is helpful but not required.
