PRIMARY FUNCTION: Incumbent works under the direction of a Division Chief or designee, and is accountable for the coordination, direction and operation of the Douglas County Health Department's Clinic. Incumbent supervises activities of assigned staff and ensures adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree* from an accredited college or university in Health Administration, Healthcare, Public Administration or Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred. Must be a Registered Nurse with current nursing license from Nebraska or a compact state recognized by the Nebraska Board of Nursing at the time of hire, and maintain the license in good standing throughout the course of employment. Five (5) years of public health clinic or directly-related experience, including one year supervisory experience, required. Grant writing experience required. Certification in Public Health (CPH) credential preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and own mode of transportation at the time of hire and throughout the course of employment. * Applicants lacking a Master's Degree may substitute approved work experience beyond the required five years on a year-for-year basis.
