PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Chief Deputy, assigned Section Supervisor or designee, the incumbent, in accordance with established policies and procedures, enters court documents into the case management system including legal filings, findings, decrees, judgments, case progressions, dismissals and all other court actions. Check court documents for accuracy. The incumbent also performs customer services functions, assists the public, attorneys and officers of the court in accessing and retrieving legal records.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation or the equivalent. * Two years full-time equivalency work experience in a position utilizing basic clerical skills, of which one year has been in a position operating a personal computer as a primary work activity. Experience or training which evidences knowledge of legal terminology and the court system desirable. Ability to type 40 net words per minute. *Approved education beyond high school in study areas of law, business administration, public administration or related field of study may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required work experience.
