PRIMARY FUNCTION:  Incumbent works under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services or designee, supervising staff and performing direct patient care for assigned unit(s) at DCHC while ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree* in Nursing from an accredited college or university required. Registered Nurse with current license in Nebraska or a compact state of residence required. Must have license at the time of hire and maintain the license in good standing throughout the course of employment. Three (3) years of nursing experience in a long-term care, short-term rehab, psychiatric/behavioral, or acute care facility required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience required. Experience with MDS assessment and care planning process preferred. Experience with RAI manual, RUG scores, CAA’s, OBRA’s and regulatory requirements preferred. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Basic life support/cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification required at the time of hire and must maintain certification throughout employment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and own mode of transportation at the time of hire and throughout the course of employment. *Approved, related work experience required may be substituted for educational requirements beyond high school on a year-for-year basis.
