Nursing Assistant - Long-term Care

PRIMARY FUNCTION:  Under the close and frequent supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or designee, incumbents perform basic nursing care in accordance with the 75 hour nursing assistant training class and the established policies and procedures of the Douglas County Health Center (DCHC) as well as state and federal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High school graduation or GED preferred.  Successful completion of a State certified 75-hour Nursing Assistant course as approved and recognized by the Nebraska Health and Human Service System.  Six months experience in a healthcare setting preferred.  Experience in a healthcare environment that includes long-term care, acute care, skilled rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facilities preferred.  Experience working in an Electronic Health Care Record system preferred.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK VARIED SHIFTS, (7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m.; 3:00p.m. - 11:30p.m.; 11:00p.m. - 7:30a.m.) HOURS AND DAYS INCLUDING WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND OVERTIME AS ASSIGNED.

WORK SCHEDULE:  Full-time and Part-time (21 hours or more per week) schedules are available.
