VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is seeking full-time Client Service Representatives to join our skilled team at our AAHA-accredited, 24 hour emergency/multi-specialty practice in Omaha, NE.

This is not just another office or receptionist position completing mundane daily tasks- this position is all about delivering the highest level of client service.

Position Overview

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representatives (CSR) sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR combines customer service with patient care to develop the relationships we have with our clients, as well as positively impact our business. This is a fast paced position that is 100% about the relationships with our clients.

For VCA's Client Service Representatives this is a career not just a job. This is for the career driven customer service oriented professional only. This position is consistently on the go interacting with clients. Skills and Qualifications

The successful CSR candidate will share VCA's commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service. He/she will bring a positive attitude, a service orientation, and high energy along with:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine required.
  • 2-3 years client facing customer service in a high capacity environment required.
  • This positions works regular evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Compassion for people and pets—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player who is friendly, outgoing, people - oriented and has excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Candidates must have extremely high attention to detail
  • Excellent listening and communication skills. 
  • Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action.
  • The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.  

Duties and Responsibilities

The Client Service Representative plays a key role in the hospital's success, as his/her immediate interaction with customers impacts client trust, patient care, repeat visits, and satisfaction. While this position does not have any clinical duties, the CSR will work hand-in-hand with Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Hospital Administrators, and Kennel teams. The CSR is responsible for:

  • Client service and relationship building 
  • Client service functions and guiding clients through their visit
  • Sign Posting the Clients Visit
  • Comforting and supporting Clients
  • Supporting clients through end of life decisions
  • Differentiating routine cases from emergency cases
  • Processing payments.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Inputting accurate and detailed data
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
