Position Description

This role will be responsible for purchasing effectiveness, Po accuracy, inventory levels, stock outs, percentage spend with preferred suppliers and rush order percentage. We are looking for an experienced individual who can dive in right away, contribute and make a difference. As part of the Sourcing team you will work in an extremely collaborative and work cooperatively with all Lindsay departments to accomplish and build relationships driving towards ONE LINDSAY.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to MRP signals to place timely purchase orders and requisitions. Accurately confirming vendor orders with price, volume, and delivery dates.
  • Accurately monitor open purchase orders ensuring they are delivering on time and providing communication to internal stakeholders when parts are late.
  • Responsible for managing day to day interactions with suppliers & executing on agreements out lined by Category Manager.
  • Provides trend analysis, root cause analysis and other financial metrics to support the categories
  • Provides proactive communication to cross functional stake holders
  • Assist in providing supplier scorecards

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Production Management or Finance.
  • Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational experience.
  • Minimum 5 years sourcing/vendor management experience.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with vendors and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of ERP systems and supply chain management.
  • Prior success in driving bottom line Savings, process Improvement, Continuous Improvement, Change Management and Project Management.
  • Excellent in MS Office, written and oral communication.
