Marcotte is a growing, fast-paced well-established professional firm with locations in Omaha and Kearney, Nebraska focused on providing insurance and financial solutions to our clients. Our agency is seeking an Account Manager within the Personal Lines department.  This person will have a proven record of great customer service and/or client relationships and a want to develop and enhance their knowledge of the personal insurance industry.

The Account Manager position is an exciting opportunity for a unique, bright, and driven individual to gain experience in the insurance industry.  Applicants should be confident; detail-oriented; passionate about completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner; and possess excellent problem solving and communication skills. An Account Manager is responsible for the day to day execution of client services administration for an assigned block of clients and the clients’ Homeowners, Collections, Personal Auto, Umbrella, and other policies. The Account Manager will act as a liaison with the client and the insurance companies to deliver seamless services. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in client meetings as needed, evaluating current programs, market strategy and coverage options. 
  • Complete and review applications, renewal requests and endorsements for Compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines. 
  • Consistently provide superior customer service by promptly and thoroughly responding to the clients’ needs and requests and consistently adhere to established departmental renewal timelines and expectations. 
  • Ability to rate, review and bind Personal lines risks, complying with underwriting authority and agency workflows/service standards. 
  • Maintain data integrity via the agency management system. 
  • Ensure consistent and thorough documentation. 
  • Possess good listening skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Possess an inherent drive to provide exceptional and efficient customer service. 
  • Participate in seminars and classes to enhance skills and develop core competencies. 
  • You are viewed as a team player by your colleagues. 

Required Experience

  • 0-2 years of prior account management experience with a carrier or broker preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • Hold an active Nebraska Producers License (or willing to obtain licensure within first 6 months of employment).
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with agency management software a plus.
  • Demonstrate the commitment to see client matters through to completion.
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple projects/clients, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
