Sandhills is seeking a Director of Accounting to oversee accounting and financial operations of the business. This is a leadership role will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing strategy for the accounting department. The position will work closely with the Director of Finance, executive leadership, administration, and department managers to support the overall goals and priorities of the company. This is a dynamic, ever-evolving position with opportunities to grow and develop a long-term career. Assume other duties as assigned.

This may include but is not limited to:
• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger activity
• Management of accounting staff along with Director of Finance
• Monitor organization’s financial performance and maintain controls
• Lead accounting function of M&A growth.
• Provide timely and accurate financial statements

• Prepare and analyze various reports
• Identify areas for operational improvement
• Ensure compliance
• Delegation of duties within the department

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Results oriented with high attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5-7 years accounting experience
• Audit background preferred but not required
• Current CPA certification preferred but not required
• International business experience is a plus
• Mergers & acquisitions experience preferred but not required
