Position Summary: As our new Metal Shop Associate you will produce finished metal products per plan specifications.

As a Metal Shop Associate, you will:

Follow instructions given by the Lead or Supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
Reads and interprets prints, instructions, and symbols, to ensure that the completed parts match what is required and must have full understanding of print reading and welding symbols, along with geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part.
Ability to set up and weld complex assemblies, using mig welders and spot welders.
Works with a team to ensure quality, finished products.
Ability to set up and run the paint line including hanging and removing parts on the paint line, ensure that all the necessary plugs and caps are placed in the parts and removed before packing, bag and when required place a part number on each part and the sealing of bags used in the packing of product.
Inputs job data into the database (clocking on and off jobs when necessary, including correct counts)
Keeps work area, including machine surfaces, clean;

As a Metal Shop Associate, you must have:

Working knowledge of the metalworking processes
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the welding trade
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
General production floor experience preferred, with emphasis in a metalworking setting
