We are seeking an experienced and energetic customer service leader to drive success for REI and our customers. This management role will be responsible for building a world-class customer support team and developing strategies and processes to ensure a high level of customer engagement, satisfaction and retention throughout the customer journey. The position will foster collaboration and coordination among other REI teams to deliver outstanding service, training and technical support to our customers. Essential duties and responsibilities: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee all aspects of our customer service processes
  • Develop and lead a world-class customer service team
  • Create a company-wide culture of outstanding customer service, engagement and responsiveness
  • Provide proactive customer contact to ensure we are exceeding our customers’ expectation in all areas of post-delivery support
  • Use innovative strategies to resolve customer issues
  • Improve customer service results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes
  • Enhance customer and technical services through evaluating and implementing an improved customer support and warranty software platform and solution

Qualification requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • 5-10 years of experience as a senior customer service leader
  • Positive, organized and empathic
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience providing outstanding customer service and leadership to internal teams and external customers
  • Strong relationship building skills in order to work with customers and other REI teams
  • Process improvement experience
  • Curious and inquisitive about the ever-changing world of technology
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Proficiency with Customer Service Software and Systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience in a commercial electronics environment preferred
