This individual will be responsible for the operating environment within Pacific Global Asset Management LLC and the underlying investment advisors.The roles core function is to ensure the accuracy of the investment decision making information and trade-flow processes within front, middle and back-office systems.This individual will be fully accountable for the end-to-end operating environment including key service provider relationships.This role will also be responsible for effectively managing a team supporting multiple advisors with varying business priorities and requirements.
 
The individual will also be responsible for identifying potential operational risks and ensuring proper controls are in place to mitigate those risks. In addition, the individual will be expected to drive efficiency initiatives and contribute to the operational model for wider business initiatives. These responsibilities entail working closely with the Front Office (Business Development and Portfolio Management), Technology and Accounting/Finance.
 
Key to the success of this position will be the ability run an institutional quality operating environment while contributing to the continued development of the infrastructure.
 
Manage critical middle office service provider processes and workflows, developing operational controls to ensure process and data integrity. (40-50%)
Work as point person between back/middle office service providers supporting the front office and general business needs. (10-15%)
Identify risk areas and develop controls to mitigate risks while maintaining efficiency (10-15%)
Support operational processes for all asset types.  Provide daily support to resolve any issues or requests. (10-20%)
Develop members of the team as both individuals and a collective support team, providing coaching, training and leadership (10-20%)
Address ad hoc operational and business needs (5-10%)
Coordinate with different areas, including Technology, Finance/Accounting and Middle Office/Front Office to enhance current procedures and implement new processes/system changes (5%)

FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:

At least eight years experience in investment operations or a related function.  Experience with the trading and settlement of bond and loan securities a plus.  Experience with other asset classes as well as previous experience with managing third party service provider relationships highly desired.  Must be a problem solver with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in pressure situations. Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or similar education/experience is required.
