Director, New Aircraft Management

Lead the configuration definition and delivery processes for new aircraft in the ACG portfolio.
Assist the ACG Marketing department in the placement of new aircraft by preparing detailed aircraft pricing estimates and directly interfacing with ACGs airline lessees to define the aircraft configuration.
Work with the airframe manufacturers, other suppliers and ACGs airline customers to manage the completion of configuration definition and delivery processes for new aircraft.
Communicate project progress with senior management and coordinate the activities of team members in other departments as part of these projects.
Coordinate with ACGs airline lessees, airframe manufacturers and Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) suppliers to define and manufacture aircraft to the lessees configuration, including assessing with the applicable manufacturers the feasibility of accommodating lessee-requested configuration changes.
Lead the acceptance and delivery process of new aircraft from the airframe manufacturer, including managing the oversight of ACGs inspectors, discrepancy resolution and the relationship with the airline lessee and the airframe manufacturer.
Support ACGs Marketing department in the placement of new aircraft by preparing detailed pricing estimates for aircraft in a prospective lessees configuration.
Coordinate the activities of team members from several departments as part of new aircraft delivery and configuration projects, ensuring timely communication among team members and communicating project progress to senior management in accordance with project deadlines.
Assist the Senior Vice President, OEM Relations & Market Development and other company officers, including ACGs Marketing department, with projects related to new aircraft.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
Self-motivated individual with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in an aviation-related capacity with prior experience in configuration management and familiarity with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft.
Familiarity with aircraft configuration requirements, including new aircraft orders and aviation leasing contracts.
Individual must have strong communication and management skills to enable interfacing with all levels within the organization and with outside business partners. Must be flexible in a dynamic environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting.
Position will be based in Newport Beach, California. Individual must be willing to travel as needed.
Strong leadership capabilities to coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate project progress to senior management.
Ability to react quickly in a changing environment and independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Minimum of a bachelors degree. A MBA degree is preferred but not required.
Must have refined communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and sound business judgement
