IT Datamanagement Leader
Pacific Life Insurance Company Lynchburg, VA
-Oversee and manage multiple Agile teams supporting new initiatives, including onboarding direct marketers and BGAs. Work in close collaboration with other IT/Operations teams to ensure that there is strong planning and execution for initiatives including good financial discipline and rigor.
-Create and execute on evolution roadmap for Broad market data platforms, elevate performance and improve data quality.
-Establish and maintain strong partnership with customers and vendors - Understand contracts and be accountable for SLA management.
-Trusted partner for the business and pro-actively suggests value added and innovative solutions to address business challenges and goals.
-Role requires ability to influence and work effectively with key stakeholders and business sponsors in a timely manner.
-Role requires ability to manage the Data infrastructure for Broad market business in collaboration with centralized corporate IT teams.
-Look at ways to reduce cost of doing business and drive continuous improvement mindset.
-Identifies and proactively addresses gaps in skills, processes and resources -Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, mentors, and monitors progress of the team
Factors for Success:
-BA/BS in Computer Science, systems development, or equivalent field experience in systems implementation required
-10+ years of experience managing delivery of data or analytics
-10+ initiatives, P&C insurance rating or pricing Experience is a plus
-10+ years experience managing large-scale, business critical
-10+ applications with SLAs in an data warehouse environment
-Superior organization skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment
-Experience of working and managing Agile team structures. Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
-Has Insurance or Financial Services experience
-Ability to build strong partnership with Business Partners and IT leads from CIO area
-Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual who is able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance and direction
-Must be able to continuously learn new skills to keep abreast of industry trends and state of the art technology
-Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of an organization
-Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
-Ability to create and lead a team in all activities related to developing and delivering solutions that aligns with the business requirement
