Position Overview

TD2 is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team. We are an established Nebraska firm working on a wide range of projects including land development, commercial construction, ALTA/NSPS surveys, infrastructure, and boundary work and FEMA mapping projects. Our team uses modern Leica robotic, GPS, and scanning technology along with UAV drone Mapping equipment and encourages innovation and efficiency in the field and office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee land surveying projects from start to finish
  • Perform and review boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, FEMA flood plain surveys, and construction surveys
  • Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, easements, and survey documents
  • Conduct records research and boundary analysis
  • Review survey data for accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate with clients, engineers, contractors, developers, and public agencies
  • Ensure projects meet Nebraska standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Active Nebraska and Iowa Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
    (or ability to obtain Nebraska and Iowa licensure through comity/reciprocity)
  • Strong knowledge of survey principles, boundary law, and survey procedures
  • Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collection systems, Drones and Optical 3D Scanners
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple projects and field crews
  • ALTA/NSPS survey experience
  • UAV/drone mapping experience
  • 3D laser scanning experience
  • Experience with subdivision plats and development projects
  • Familiarity with Leica equipment and workflows
