The Associate Teacher is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher and Co-Lead in the planning, implementation and coordination of a comprehensive education program.  Under the supervision of the Lead Teacher and Co-Lead, the Associate Teacher ensures the education program is developmentally appropriate and meets children's individual needs as well as program standards of the Nebraska Department of Education.  

To qualify you must have all of the following; 

  • High School Diploma or GED.  Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • A valid CDA or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • A minimum of 2 years early childhood experience in a group setting preferred.
  • Computer knowledge

The Omaha Early Learning Centers, Inc., in partnership with Omaha Public Schools, is a community-based nonprofit organization which operates high-quality early learning programs for low-income children ages birth to three.  Each of these modern facilities occupy their own building on an elementary school campus in one of Omaha’s high-need neighborhoods. The Early Learning Center at Skinner is on the campus of Skinner Magnet in north Omaha, and the Early Learning Center at Gateway is on the campus of Gateway Elementary in south Omaha. A third school, scheduled to open in 2019, is being built adjacent to Howard Kennedy Elementary in North Omaha.

Omaha Early Learning Centers is part of the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative family that includes; Early Childhood Services, Educare Lincoln and both Educare Omaha locations.
